Holy Ghost Orthodox Church Presents

Fr. Patrick Reardon: “The Power of Pentecost: The Holy Spirit in the Lives of the Saints”

Join us Saturday, May 13, 2006

Fr. Pat ReardonPatrick Henry Reardon is the Pastor of All Saints’ Orthodox Church in Chicago and senior editor of Touchstone: A Journal of Mere Christianity. Father Reardon is an alumnus of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Seminary in Pennsylvania, Southern Baptist Seminary in Kentucky, St. Anselm’s College and the Pontifical Biblical Institute, both in Rome, Italy. He is the author of Christ In The Psalms, Christ In His Saints, The Trial Of Job, and most recently History And Worship (available through Conciliar Press), and the sole author of a quarterly journal, The Saints James Daily Devotional Guide. He is also a regular columnist in several other journals, here and in England, and maintains a daily Bible study available on-line.

Please join us as Fr. Patrick shares how the power of the Holy Spirit has been manifest in the lives of the saints throughout history. He will discuss the lives of men and women, both ancient and modern, who have had the power of Pentecost at work in them, not only in miraculous wonders, but also in their day-to-day lives. And they comprise the “great cloud of witnesses” mentioned in Holy Scripture, those who have gone on before us and who can inspire us by their words and deeds. Come and hear how we contemporary Christians can learn from their Spirit-inspired witness!
